This is Lola at around 4 months old.
She is a Bernese Mountain Dog.
Riley and her played non stop for 5 days when we dog sat in February 2010.
What a beautiful dog she is!
I am sure we will have many more dog play dates for these two!

This has to be my favourite photo of Riley to date. She is just so cute and beautiful here. The photo was take by Wes Devauld, DR Photography in Nov 2009 at the big dog park we go to quite a bit. She was digging and her nose is all dirty and Wes was able to capture her at the right moment. He also has a funny one of her with her tongue sticking out.

Riley is Home to Stay!

So I went to Edmonton on Friday and visited with Erin, who we met on our tour in Peru to Machu Picchu. Erin and her brother Craig are alot of fun and we will be seeing more of them soon. On Saturday morning I went over to Bonnie’s house to pick up our puppy Riley. She is so cute and so cuddly. She is adjusting well into our place and loves just being near us. She is learning very quickly and in just a few days has learned to sit and lay down. We look forward to lots of great walks and camping trips with her. 1st camping trip this weekend in the Fairmont area.

Our New Puppy
So Wes and I drove up to Edmonton yesterday to pick out our puppy. She is an American Staffordshire Terrier. These dogs are excellent family dogs and love to please their owners. We arrived in Edmonton and a few minutes later it started snowing. Made for an eventful trip but luckily the roads were good. We went to Bonnie’s house to meet the puppies and choose what little girl puppy we wanted. We chose this beautiful little one in my arms above. Wes came up with the great name Riley. I was a little sad leaving since she was old enough to come home with us but we have arranged for Bonnie to keep her till we get back from Peru at the end of May. She will be 14 weeks when we pick her up 1st weekend of June.
I am sure you can tell that I am very excited about our new puppy.
More photos to come once we bring her home forever.
